Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The Domaine has been a family property for two generations. The diversity of the soils in the vineyards allows the winegrower, Mr Alazay, to maintain a high consistent quality. ‘Souco’ means ‘vine’ in provençal.

Mainly black Grenache and Syrah.

Deep red colour with violet hints. A complex and flavourful nose with notes of black fruit and liquorice. It has a very supple start which evolves into a long finish full of spicy tones.

Open it at least 2 hours before serving between 16 and 18°C. Although excellent now, this wine will gain in complexity and elegance with a cellaring period of 7 to 10 years after release.

Spicy dishes and matured cheese. Ideal with large game, red meat in sauce such as duck fillet, coq au vin, hare lenses or tournedos with grapes.
